4Th of July, Nasa and a Baptism

My nephew Austin turned Eight this past summer. His baptism was over the fourth of July weekend, how awesome is that! So we headed down to Houston  to celebrate the fourth and for an even bigger celebration of Austin's decision to get baptized. We are so proud of you Austin you are such a  loving and wonderful example to  your family and cousins. We decided to add on the space museum onto this trip it was very patriot we thought;) Connor loves rockets and astronauts and  he loved being there. It was pretty amazing to see the Saturn V up close and walk all the way around it. Pretty incredible that they sent that into space. It was a great trip and always a fun time down in Houston with my brother. Thanks for having us and taking on such a big crowd all in one house.

Emily's Baby Blessing

We were fortunate to have lots of family in town for Emily baby blessing back in June. It made for a very special day! We are so grateful for our close friends and family who shared that day with us.  Gerret's parents were there to meet Emily, my aunt Kathy flew in to see her and my brother and his family came up from Houston! Our ward meets at eight thirty am so it makes for a incredibly early Sunday. So an even bigger thank you for getting out of bed to come;)
That weekend we also celebrated my nephews Austin turning 8 and Coles turning 4 birthday! made for a very packed and fun weekend with cousins at the splash pad and park!

Oh how my heart melts for these two!

                                                               My adorable nephews!

Swim lesson

Connor started swim lessons right when Preschool ended. It was a great way to get the summer started and get him comfortable in the water again.  Since just having had a baby it was a great way to keep him entertained and tire him out;) We took him to a friend who has been teaching kids how to swim for a long time right in her own backyard! He took to it very quickly and wanted to copy what the older kids were doing from the second day of class. Now that summer is about over I can say he has been amazing in the water and doesn't use his floaties anymore. He just wants to wear his goggles and try to dive down and get his toys. He kicks and goes under water super well, and loves jumping right in and swimming to the side all on his own now! He asks almost everyday when he gets home from Preschool if we can go to the pool. I will be sad when summer is officially over and our little man can't practice what he has been loving to do for the past few months.

This kid has been fearless in the water. sometimes he freak me out with the stuff he wants do.

Emily Elizabeth Montgomery

We are happy to announce the arrival of our sweet baby girl Emily Elizabeth! born on April 16th 2014 at 1:23 am. She was two days over my due date. Its a crazy story that felt like it was straight out of a movie. I was not emotionally ready for how crazy all the natural  stuff really is. I want to share my story here though. I was dilated to a five  ninety percent effaced the week before her due date, thinking it would be any day that week. I was SO ready for her to be here and not be preggo anymore. Those last few weeks just hurt and sleep is long gone at that point. I woke up on Tuesday April 15th with her feeling super low. That should have been a red flag to me, it was uncomfortable to the point where I felt like I couldn't pee. I should have gone in to the Dr then that day. I figured  I would wait since my next appointment was the next day first thing in the morning, whats one more day nothing is happening. Wrong. I was barely having any cramps and thinking since I was already two days over it wouldn't be a big deal. I was wrong. My brother was in town for work and stopped by later that night and we were chatting it up when I decided by about 11:30 I should go to bed, I took half a Tylenol PM thinking I will try to get in my last good nights sleep, hoping my OB at that point would just induce me the next morning. An hour later 12:45 AM I woke up jumping out of bed  from a horrible sharp pain ( Contraction) and then immediate had to bend over I couldn't stand straight up. Feeling like I had to go to the bathroom, the contraction were about every two min at that point for about 15 minutes., I knew it was time to go it felt like nothing I had felt before. Glad I had my bag packed at that point. Threw that in the car and Gerret called our friend Sean who lives down the street. Thank you Sean! Total life saver you may have witnessed much more if we had waited for you. At this point its now One am and Gerret is racing down Eldorado going about ninety miles an hour. Thank goodness it was the middle of the night and there was no traffic. Once we hit the Dallas toll Road he hit one hundred miles an hour. At that point I was banging on the door and saying how I didn't want to do this and I feel like I might throw up or die. One of the two. I barely had a minute between contractions at that point. The second he turned into the Baylor Frisco parking lot my water broke and I had to push I had no control over my body it was just happening. I remember yelling I have to push and Gerret yelled right back don't do it yet, don't do it yet. The look on his face was shear terror. I will never forget it;) He pulled right into Valet grabbed a wheel chair and hauled butt up to maternity on the second floor. The second the door opened there were two nurse and a Dr standing right there. That was luck! He wheeled me in the first room on the right and the Dr says. " when I see a girl yelling with her butt hanging off the wheel chair I know its baby time"   She ended up delivering Emily eight minutes later. I Have never stripped naked faster before in my life and literally not cared at all. I jumped on that bed  and just kept pushing. There was no time for an epidural, no time for even an IV;( they were asking a million medical question while all this was going on. I think there were five nurses in the room running around getting things ready. It was the craziest feeling of my life, and the scariest, but coolest thing ever. She came hard and fast, and there wasn't any time to think or process what was going on, I just wanted help. It also became so primal. Its amazing how the body just kicks in and knows what to do.  I am glad it happened so fast I couldn't do it if it lasted for hours on end. Then again I would have had time to get an epidural;) I have been asked a ton if it was horrible and just the worst pain even. To be honest the worst part is the contraction that hurts more then the baby its self coming out, you feel so much relief as they come out. It was insane. I laid there in shock for several hours trying to process how fast that went down. We got to the hospital at 1:15 am and 1:23 she was born. the whole thing was just over 35 min. The craziest 35 min of my life! I am so thankful all went well and there weren't any complications for her or myself. I am also so thankful for Dr Allen who ended up delivering Emily since my OB couldn't make it in time. She was a angle in  my moments of being super scared, cracking jokes like this happens to her everyday. We are so happy Emily is here and part of our family, she is the sweetest thing ever. She already has us all wrapped around her finger especially daddy!

Preggo Pictures

This past pregnancy went by really fast. With the exception of the last three weeks of course it just dragged on. It didn't help that I wasn't working to pass the time and Connor was in per school for a few hours a day. I can only clean and organize so much! I did try and enjoy my quite time, because lets face that is long gone now that miss Emily is here. I will post on her soon. I wanted to post some picture of my pregnancy, I never did with Connor. So I wanted to be better this time around;) Thankfully I was healthy and did have any complications.its fun to see how massive one can get and how different each pregnancy is.

                                                                          24 Weeks
this one is my favorite 32 Weeks
                                                                        36 weeks
40 weeks preggo  and two days later she came!

Sea Life Aquarium

We spent some time with my brother and his Kids Ethan and Ella at the Grapevine Aquarium over spring break! Connor loves spending time with his cousins especially Ella. It was fun to see all the different fish and walk through the Shark tunnel. Its a small aquarium, one you can do in a hour and half, but still makes for a fun visit.

All the silly faces and things they do.

Day Out with Thomas

We wanted to do something fun for just Connor and the three of us before baby girl got here. since Connor loves trains so much we figured day out with Thomas would be the perfect fit for him. he loved it! lets just say he never wanted the day to end. It started with a twenty five minute train ride on Thomas the train. Then on to play with some actual Thomas the train toys. We had to get a tattoo of Thomas and color some Thomas pictures too of course! Then meet Sur Top ham Hat as well, and take picture with Thomas the train. Connor had a great time and still talks about being on the train with Thomas;)

He sees Thomas coming into the station.
You can tell by his face he was pretty excited to be on the train!
                                                                  I love this boy!

We had a a great day with Thomas!
